DESCRIPTION:Pastel painters love the immediacy of drawing with a rich and painterly colouring power. If you haven’t used them before you may be surprised at how easily the essential techniques can be mastered. Learning to handle the pastels and the attractiveness of the work you can produce is very satisfying.\nYou are welcome to attend Mary’s sessions and see for yourself the versatility of this medium which is suited to either large\, ambitious compositions right down to small quick sketches. SUMMARY:Build a Village on Monday :  Ceramic Art Houses
DESCRIPTION:Engaging active and creative ceramic workshop offering close supervision and plenty of guidance  from a professional ceramic artist of many years. \nStudents will be provided with a kilo of white clay to build the house or houses they desire in a small friendly and supportive environment.  Class size is a maximum of 12 so participants will be working alongside Deb who will be demonstrating techniques and sharing her knowledge to achieve the best possible outcomes. Students will have the option of choosing an array of colours and finishes to suit their creative vibe and experience. \nTutor: Deb Fleming\nDate: Monday 10th January 2022\nTime: 1.30 – 4pm\nCost: $120.00 \nAll Materials Supplied \nIn this workshop Deb is keen to give everyone lots of support and encouragement in the form of feedback\, techniques\, and tools to achieve a participants individual artistic expression. The result will be a long-lasting exceptional expression of who you are in the form of clay houses. \nBOOK HERE\nA long history in ceramic art has brought Deb to this place\, where she wants to share what she has learned and experienced. Recently completing a master’s in visual art with ceramics at Otago\, her experience as a self-employed ceramic storyteller since the late 70s has culminated in having a lot of creativity to offer.
