SUMMARY:Intro to Brush Lettering Workshop
DESCRIPTION:A fun and relaxed workshop for hand-lettering enthusiasts who would like to learn the basics of modern brush calligraphy. A strong focus on te reo Māori (workshop will be bilingual)\, but all levels of te reo Māori learners are welcome. Aroha of Maimoa Creative is a calligrapher and designer who creates unique typography designs. \nYou will be introduced to basic strokes\, tips and techniques\, and create a final print of a whakataukī/proverb/quote to take home and gift or display in your kāinga (home). \nAll materials provided\, and participants will receive a set of worksheets and material list if they wish to continue their journey at home. \nFor ages 18+. \nWhen: Thursday 4th November 1.30pm – 3pm \nWhere: Please note: this event will go ahead at L2 at Willow & Wharf Temporary Event Space (Corner of Willow and Wharf street). \nCost: FREE
