DESCRIPTION:If your child cares about the environment and wants to make a difference\, sign up for this digital storytelling workshop to learn about Precious Plastic Tauranga\, the lifecycle of single use plastics in New Zealand & make a stop motion animation using salvaged and repurposed materials. \nBreathe life into your ideas with just a smartphone\, a few reclaimed and recycled objects\, and a large dose of imagination. Learn to communicate ideas and tell digital stories to share with your whanau\, social media and in an exhibition at Remaker. \nThis workshop includes: \n\nDesign and production support\, props and staging materials. Learn to stage props and make your ideas visible to tell your story about environmental impact or call to action.\nBackground context about the life cycle of waste in New Zealand Learn and experience the precious plastic enterprise\, a community enterprise that receives\, shreds\, and turns bottle lids into new products\, keeping the lids out of landfill\nThe opportunity to exhibit your video at Remaker – bring your friends and family to see your work!\nAfternoon tea & biscuits\n\nRequirements: \nBring a smartphone or tablet & charging cord with the Stop Motion Studios program (the purple one) pre-downloaded.
