DESCRIPTION:Professional Development Training \nLast year we hosted a professional development training on Working with Autism and ADHD\, which sold out within weeks. Due to the strong interest and excellent feedback\, we are running a second session on 26 February 2026. \nTraining will explore: \n\nKey Traits of Autism and ADHD\n\n​What are the differences and similarities\nComorbidities of Autism and ADHD\n\n\n\n\nInclusive Skills and Practical Strategies to support individuals\n\nApproaches for schools\, counselling spaces\, and community settings working with neurodiversity in teens\, young adults and adults\nRegulation tools and emotional forecasting\nImpact on relationships when one person is neurodiverse\n\n\nUnderstand the Trauma and Challenges for Parents of Neurodiverse Children\n\nNavigating diagnosis: grief\, stress\, and systemic barriers\nAvailable supports and resources\n\n\n\nParticipants will gain: \n\nGreater Awareness: Building inclusive communities that reduce stigma.\nPractical Confidence: Tools to recognise and nurture the strengths of neurodivergent individuals.\nFamily Support: Insight into the systemic impacts on parents and carers\, with pathways to resources.\nEmpowered Neurodivergent Voices: Helping neurodiverse people feel seen\, valued\, and supported to thrive.\n\nABOUT THE SPEAKERS:\nMJ & Denise\, from Diverse City (www.diversecity.co.nz)  and Spectrum Connections (www.spectrumconnections.co.nz)\, are highly respected in the Tauranga community for their expertise\, dedication\, and contributions in supporting and advocating for neurodiverse individuals.\n\nMARY-JANE (MJ) DU TOIT\nBA Hum Psych (Psychology & Industrial Psychology)\nProsci Certified Facilitator and Trainer \nThe upcoming training is filling quickly\, but we still have spaces available.
