SUMMARY:Cross-cultural Musical Collaboration Workshops
DESCRIPTION:Musicians wanted for cross-cultural collaboration \nInfo Evening\nLocal musicians/composers Akash Dutta and Tristan Hancock are pleased to present a series of workshops to explore the wide range of cultures and musical practices represented in the Bay of Plenty. \nThis is a call out for musicians to take part in this project. There is an information evening on 21 July at 6:30pm at The Jam Factory. The organisers are looking for musicians (aged 15-25) who are keen to expand their musical horizons and collaborate with like-minded creatives. Sessions will cover different musical tradition under the guidance of experienced practitioners\, culminating in a final concert. For more information about the series please email Akash at akashd98@yahoo.co.nz. \nThis project is supported by the Creative Communities Scheme and is brought to you in cooperation with Multicultural Tauranga.
