DESCRIPTION:FREE DISCUSSION GROUP\nTriple P Discussion Groups are 2 hr relaxed sessions with a trained TP practitioner\, guiding participants through different behaviours/vignette segments and sharing practical but researched strategies for preventing\, promoting and managing different behaviours\, both in yourself as the parent/caregiver or whanau member and your child.\nYou choose how much you want to share\, or prefer to listen and enjoy the lite refreshments.\nA take home workbook is given at the session to help participants in their parenting going forward. \nManaging fighting and aggression:  In this session\, parents are encouraged to share their experiences of aggressive and destructive behaviour from their children and discuss some of the reasons children fight. This group covers the skills that children need to be able to cooperate and get along with others. Parents learn how to teach skills such as sharing\, communicating\, and being gentle. They also prepare plans to manage times when fighting and aggression do occur.
