SUMMARY:Sew a Bumbag
DESCRIPTION:Don’t get bummed…get bumbagged! \nIn this 2 hour workshop you will use your existing sewing skills to create a bumbag that will see you through the summer! Basic sewing experience is absolutely necessary! This one’s a little bit technical but my god is it satisfying! Bring some awesome fabric with you or use the salvaged fabrics we have at ReMaker. (Get creative too – maybe you have an old shirt at home that you’ve already been spotted in and it’s time to mix things up? Use the rest of the fabric to make a matching beret?  Surely.) \nYou will spend the first 30 minutes cutting out your fabrics\, then approx 1.5 hours constructing the bumbag which will include inserting a zip. (Don’t worry it’s easier than it sounds I promise) Fabric needs to be approx 100 x 50 cm for the outer\, and a medium weight (remember the bumbag has to be quite sturdy as you will be rocking out all summer)! \nFor ages 16+ with previous sewing experience. \n\n\n\nWhen\n\nThursday 4th November 2021 7:00pm – 9:00pm\n\n\n\nWhere \nRemaker Space\, 91 Willow Street\, Tauranga\n\n\nWho\nJay Rosella\n\n\n\n\nCost: $50 per person \nBook Here\n \nNext Dates:\nWednesday 17th November 2021 7pm-9pm  Book Here

SUMMARY:Textured Rings Workshop
DESCRIPTION:One Day Workshop\n\n\nThis great one-day class.  Ideal for beginners or those with limited experience\, however experienced students are also welcome!  Students will practice making a simple textured or polished ring in either copper or brass. Then move onto making one or more silver rings from start to finish. They will learn measuring\, texturing\, soldering and finishing techniques to make beautiful\, wearable rings! \nTutor: Tom Richards\nDate: 6th Nov 2021\nTime: 10.30 – 4.30pm\nVenue: The Artery\, Historic Village\, 17th Ave\, Tauranga \nCost: $185 including practice metal and some silver\, extra materials are available to purchase in the workshop if time allows for you to make more rings. \nStudents can choose from creating simple textured\, stamped or polished rings in flat metal\, or adding in stacking rings in wire and bar. More experienced students may wish to make a wider ring\, or a series of rings\, perhaps in a tapered form or including finer details and finishing. \nThis is a one-day class aimed at either providing a enjoyable and creative experience with great results\, or an excellent grounding in basic jewellery techniques for those wanting to pick up the activity. As this is only a one-day class we will be providing a set range of widths for your ring bands so as to make the project enjoyable and achievable. \nKids aged 12 and up (or so) are welcome to attend the class\, but any person under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an enrolled parent or caregiver.
