DESCRIPTION:Come along to our Life Drawing bi monthly Life Drawing Session\nLife Drawing Session Friday (first and third Friday of the month) \nWhere: 171a Elizabeth Street West\, Tauranga\nKoha: $10.00 for Society Members\, $15.00 for Guests \nLife Drawing\, Figure Drawing… the act of drawing a living person.\nIt’s one of the most challenging and interesting ways to develop your drawing skills. Skills that translate to all aspects of art making.\nIt’s also a great way to escape into your own world for a little while.\nThis is an untutored session\, however\, we won’t leave you completely alone if you are new to it and need a little help getting started. It is a very friendly\, mixed level\, session and you will be surprised what you can learn and achieve with a little encouragement.\nIf you are an experienced artist or student a Life Model will give you unlimited inspiration and a chance to experiment with your technique\, materials and style. And we all appreciate and are inspired by new approaches.\nWe always take time for a feedback session before we leave. This is a positive and invaluable part of the session. It is inspiring looking at what worked during the session and why; sometimes the less obvious “works” provide the most interesting insights. There is always something to learn.\nBring your own drawing/painting gear (any media is fine)\, there is usually sugar paper available for sale at the Art Room. We do have some easels at the rooms\, but they are limited. If you have your own please feel free to bring it along.\nPlease turn up in time to assist with set up\, and stay on to assist with pack down. We are a self supporting group and if everyone helps it is very quick and easy. \nPS:  If you are interested in modelling and are available please feel free to PM me. We love experienced Models\, but are happy to use a sprinkling of “new” models… so don’t be reluctant if you haven’t done it before.

DESCRIPTION:Jade Health Taiji.  Tauranga Tai chi Classes. \nDavid teaches Tai Chi Traditional Yang Form and also Qigong. \nThe classes are suitable for beginners. All students work at their own level and ability. \nTai Chi is different to normal fitness classes in that it teaches a person how to identify and release tension being held in the body. \nThere is a very deliberate mental aspect to learning Tai Chi so although it looks simple to the observer\, it is definitely not easy. \nThose who come to understand the benefits of Tai Chi and Qigong will recognise the improvements in strength and balance and body posture. \nJade Health Taiji is affiliated to Sport BOP so we offer training to all comers and in particular to the Keep on Your Feet program. \nTauranga Classes \nWhere: St Georges Church Hall\,  Gate Pa\,  2 Church St.\nWhen:  Wednesday 9.30 – 11.00am \nCost:$10 per class for casual but there is a 10 class concession card available for $80 classes. The concession card is valid for any class. \nWear comfortable clothing and soft shoes or bare feet.
