SUMMARY:Jade Health Taiji -  Tauranga Tai Chi Classes
DESCRIPTION:Jade Health Taiji.  Tauranga Tai chi Classes. \nDavid teaches Tai Chi Traditional Yang Form and also Qigong. \nThe classes are suitable for beginners. All students work at their own level and ability. \nTai Chi is different to normal fitness classes in that it teaches a person how to identify and release tension being held in the body. \nThere is a very deliberate mental aspect to learning Tai Chi so although it looks simple to the observer\, it is definitely not easy. \nThose who come to understand the benefits of Tai Chi and Qigong will recognise the improvements in strength and balance and body posture. \nJade Health Taiji is affiliated to Sport BOP so we offer training to all comers and in particular to the Keep on Your Feet program. \nTauranga Classes \nWhere: St Georges Church Hall\,  Gate Pa\,  2 Church St.\nWhen:  Wednesday 9.30 – 11.00am \nCost:$10 per class for casual but there is a 10 class concession card available for $80 classes. The concession card is valid for any class. \nWear comfortable clothing and soft shoes or bare feet. SUMMARY:Volunteers at McLaren Falls Park
DESCRIPTION:The society looks after the trees at McLaren Falls Park. \nMeetups:\nDay: Wednesdays\nTime: 12 noon – about 4pm\nPlace: McLaren Falls Park Information Centre \nWe meet at the Information centre at noon on Wednesdays with our packed lunches. After lunch and a discussion about what’s on for the afternoon we set to it. Usually no more than three hours in total. We bring our own tools\, and plenty of cheerful enthusiasm. The afternoon will be cancelled if the weather looks guaranteed to be wet. \nThe nature of the work is forever changing and can include planting\, identification & GPS plotting location\, or nursery work with trees from early February to mid-December. \nA volunteer doesn’t have to be knowledgeable about trees\, or be a competent gardener\, just to be willing to follow instructions. One of our current members has said she loves coming\, not just because the park is such a lovely place\, but because she learns something every week. \nContact: Chris Reynolds (027 918 0589)\nEmail: raychrisreynolds@gmail.com
