DESCRIPTION:Love a good mug?\nWanna make your own SUPER unique one\, with any kind of crazy embellishment you can dream of ? \nPerhaps one with a nose? Or\, an eyeball? A slug? A boob? A pair of boobs? Or you could be totally outrageous and make a plain mug! \nDominique is our resident artist at The Pot House and fellow admirer of the weird and wonderful\, and she’s here to help you bring your wildest mug dreams to life. \nDominique will guide participants through hand forming their mug and sculpting an additional feature to add to the mug. They can then colour their mugs with an array of underglazes. Each piece is left to be picked up later once Dominique has glazed and fired them. \nTutor: Dominique Ford\nDate: Saturday\, 30th July\nTime: 10am – 1pm\nWhere: The Artery\, Historic Village\nPrice: $120 All materials supplied \nBOOK HERE\nA ceramic artist with a background in graphic design and children’s book illustration\, Dominique has three adult children and lives with her husband and some cats in rural Tauranga. SUMMARY:Discover The Joys of Geli-printing
DESCRIPTION:Weekend Workshop\n\n\nJoin Shona for an massive two-day workshop to explore the addictive process of printing from a soft gel plate. Suitable for complete beginners through to artists wishing to discover new techniques. Over the weekend you’ll learn how to make\, care for\, and use your own gel plates. Explore a wide variety of techniques such as printing with botanicals\, creating texture with found objects\, making\, and using stencils\, mask and brayer use\, image and sketch transfers and creating more painterly mark making. \nTake home a wide range of rich textured and layered prints. Some will be frame ready\, to use as cards\, gift wrap\, or make prints perfect for collage work. Participants will gain confidence build on their knowledge and further explore the joys of Geli-printing. \n​Tutor: Shona Mackenzie \nDates: 11th and 12th December 2021 \nTime 9.30am – 4pm \nCost $230 \nBOOK HERE: shonalamack@gmail.com\nSome basic materials supplied including your first gel plate and tools for the weekend. \nPlease bring: 3 tubes of golden OPEN paints. Masking tape\, 1 black chino-graph pencil\, 1 craft knife or scalpel\, 1 or 2 thin flat sheets of A4 plastic such as acetate.  A collection of a variety of papers to print on and interesting textured items.
