The structure of this workshop
1. Theory Class | Friday 7th of July | 6:30 -8:30 pm | Video Call
What you will learn:
– How to plan your Milky way photos
– Astrophotography camera settings
– Astrophotography equipment
– Focusing in low light conditions
– How to compose images at night
2. Practical Class | Saturday 8th of July | 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Hands on class in beautiful Lake Tarawera, Rotorua
3. Editing Class | Tuesday 12th of July | 6:30 -8:00 pm | Video Call
You will learn:
– How to do a basic post processing on Camera Raw or Lightroom
– How to correct light and colour
– How to add brightness to the core of Milky way
– How to reduce noise
***Please be aware that these dates are subject to change, as we require optimal weather conditions and a clear sky for the second class. If the second class needs to be rescheduled, the third class will also be postponed accordingly. Additionally, depending on the conditions, we might consider organizing the Lake Tarawera session on a weekday.
Learning Resources:
Notes and video examples will be given after module one and three.

Level:
Basic, you don’t need previous knowledge of photography or post processing.
Gear:
It would help if you had a camera that can be used in manual mode and can shoot up to 30 seconds, a tripod and a laptop/pc. We can lend a camera and tripod on the practical module
