The guest speaker on July 20th is Sam Fellows
Sam Fellows is currently on a one-year secondment as the Manager of the Sustainability and Waste Division at Tauranga City Council. In his current role the most exciting project, and the one that consumes most of his time, is the introduction of a kerbside recycling scheme for our city. This is a hugely exciting project which will impact every single resident of our city and help us achieve our goal of halving the amount of residential waste we send to landfill by 2028.
Tauranga Continuing Education Group aims to provide older people with an opportunity to listen to prominent New Zealanders discussing topics of interest. Many of the speakers come from the University of Waikato and others from business and local organisations.
This group meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month.
Place: Otumoetai Baptist Church, 241 Otumoetai Road, Tauranga
