The intricate art of encaustic wax painting using Bee’s wax in its natural yellow state along with imported colour-rich pigments from sunny Greece. Get creative with heat guns and other mediums to produce 3 beautiful artworks to take home and hang on your wall.
Learn the core techniques of:

- Fusing
- Blending
- Collage
- Mark making
- Embedding
Hang out and meet other creatives in our wonderful art learning space while discovering the joys of colour whilst bathing in the delicious scent of beeswax.
Bring a friend or family member along and you will receive a $40.00 pack of Encaustic Products when both of you register. Sue also has all the Encaustic Products and brushes available for sale on the day. Includes Natural Wax, Colour Waxes, Pigments & Haka Brushes etc. from her sources overseas.
What to bring along:
Your own materials if you wish would be dried leaves, small dry twigs, small shells, cotton materials eg. lace, string, features, tissue papers, doodads etc.

Sue lives in NZ permanently after over 20 years of living in Greece coming back to NZ and do go back there once or twice a year. She is recognized for her bold and colourful work in different mediums that create structure, depth, movement and texture.
