Academy Award-winning director Jane Campion (The Piano, The Portrait of a Lady)’s adaptation of the autobiographies of one the most highly regarded New Zealand authors, Janet Frame (To the Is-Land, An Angel at my Table, The Envoy from Mirror City). AN ANGEL AT MY TABLE follows Frame’s difficult life throughout an awkward childhood to her travels and struggles as an adult to create a beautiful and poetic film. Frame’s affinity for her homeland of New Zealand is beautifully captured by the acclaimed Stuart Dryburgh (The Piano, Alice Through the Looking Glass) with Frame herself portrayed by three actresses, Karen Fergusson, Alexia Keough and Kerry Fox.

The cost is $12 per person and non-members are welcome to attend so feel free to bring a friend(s).
The Tauranga Film Society meets every second Wednesday at the Luxe Cinema in Devonport Road.
Films are limited to Film Society members. Once you are a member ($120 for the full season or $40 for a 3-film sampler membership) there is no additional cost to see each film. The 12 month membership period starts at your date of joining.
