
If your child cares about the environment and wants to make a difference, sign up for this digital storytelling workshop to learn about Precious Plastic Tauranga, the lifecycle of single use plastics in New Zealand & make a stop motion animation using salvaged and repurposed materials.
Breathe life into your ideas with just a smartphone, a few reclaimed and recycled objects, and a large dose of imagination. Learn to communicate ideas and tell digital stories to share with your whanau, social media and in an exhibition at Remaker.
This workshop includes:
- Design and production support, props and staging materials. Learn to stage props and make your ideas visible to tell your story about environmental impact or call to action.
- Background context about the life cycle of waste in New Zealand Learn and experience the precious plastic enterprise, a community enterprise that receives, shreds, and turns bottle lids into new products, keeping the lids out of landfill
- The opportunity to exhibit your video at Remaker – bring your friends and family to see your work!
- Afternoon tea & biscuits
Requirements:
Bring a smartphone or tablet & charging cord with the Stop Motion Studios program (the purple one) pre-downloaded. Cost is $8.99.
This workshop is for participants aged 16+
