In this 2 hour workshop, you will create a unique weaving (measuring approx 20cm x 17cm) using rescued fibre dyed with plants. All the botanical product used to colour the fibre has been sourced from Melissa’s own backyard and very mindfully treated to extract hues from Mother Nature.
Melissa will have mini hand looms warped for you, and will coach you on a basic weaving method, as well as a tassle technique. You’ll have a table full of a beautiful selection of botanically dyed colours to choose from.
Once completed, learn how to cut the weaving from the loom and be shown how to tie it off, ready to take home and adorn a table or sideboard for a natural, botanical themed piece of interior decor.
No experience necessary. All materials will be provided. Please remember to bring and wear your mask for this workshop.
