We are a group of hobby woodworkers – men and women – keen to share our love of wood and skills with anyone keen to join us. We live in a land with beautiful timbers and with a long tradition of do-it-yourself creativity.
We have been active since 1987 and in any given year we have 80 – 100 members of all ages and skill levels.
We have a purpose-built Workshop located at 3 – Cherokee Place – Mount Maunganui in Tauranga which is well-equipped with lathes, bandsaws, bench saw, mitre cut-off saw, buzzer, drill press, scroll saws and all the associated hand tools.
Our Carving, Turning, Scrollsaw, Toy Making & Open Workshop Groups all meet each month.
On the 3rd Saturday of every month at 1.30pm we have a general meeting plus demonstration & refreshments. Visitors are welcome. Check out our facebook page : https://www.facebook.com/taurangawoodcrafters/
Men and women are all invited to join us.
