In this interactive workshop we will be learning:

– how to harvest harakeke and when

– how to prepare it

– waiata/karakia

– learning together

– exploring the world of weaving

– having fun with flax

– connecting to self and others/nature

– learning in a relaxed atmosphere

Weaving is very therapeutic and diverse. We will be making some easy windmill knots that create a fish at first and then we will make a star, inspired by the book fun with flax. Depending on time and the group we will be making a bracelet also.
