Workshop with Abstract Artist

The workshop will have an abstract emphasis and build on the previous mark making workshop. Warm up on paper then move on to canvas (learn how to cope with the difference), tackle size and scale, how to reveal textures and expressive brushwork within a composition, and learn when to stop ! Plenty of encouragement to build on your own individual underpainting and mark making.
Richard has conducted many successful art workshops within NZ and overseas, is a well known painter and also a musician, with the Nairobi Trio .

Location: The Gallery, Te Puna Quarry Park, Tauranga
Materials: Artists will be sent a list of materials to bring, plus some materials will be provided.
Fee: $300 non refundable (includes lovely lunches and morning and afternoon teas).
