Café Scientifique Tauranga

for the latest scientific thinking and research

Café Scientifique is a regular Tauranga-based seminar series where anyone can explore the latest scientific thinking and research from national and international speakers, in a relaxed setting.

Presentations cover a wide range of research and innovation topics such as the search for new planets, electrical behaviour of the brain during sleep, and kiwifruit industry biosecurity risks to name a few. Speakers come from a range of New Zealand or overseas universities, Crown Research Institutes and industry-based research organisations.

From nanotechnology to nutrition, marine science to molecular biology; at Café Scientifique we celebrate all things science and technology. Café Scientifique is organised by Julia and Warren Banks, Saffron Consulting Ltd, with support from the University of Waikato.
