Sewing Up Sustainability
Tackle plastic pollution at the grass roots
If you are a keen stamper, stitcher, or you just want to help a community initiative, Boomerang Bags wants you.
Boomerang Bags is a community-driven initiative tackling plastic pollution at grass roots level. Dedicated volunteers get together to make re-usable bags using recycled materials as a means to provide a sustainable alternative to plastic bags.
Volunteers can bring along sewing machines if they have them or just bring themselves. No sewing experience is required; non-confident sewers can help cut, stamp, pin or iron.
