Seaside Bees operate and manage hives throughout the Bay of Plenty.

They also offer courses covering a range of urban beekeeping issues for the beginner getting started.

If you prefer you can do a half day of “shadow beekeeping”. Seaside Bees offers a program where you can follow them on their beehive inspections and get an insight of what beekeeping is about. Look into the hives, lift combs and spot the Queen, learn to recognise the different bee castes and marvel at these wonderful bugs.
